Our colorful studio offers creative experiences and professionally led art classes and workshops on both sides of our studio! The Curious Kiln Paint + Pottery Studio offers anytime "walk-in" options for paint your own pottery, traditional glazed and fired ceramics, wood sign painting, and other fine craft experiences. The McHarper Manor Classroom offers a variety of options - from one-time workshops to weekly art clubs, clay clubs, and series for both kids and adults. We are proud to host 16 teaching artists spanning a variety of mediums and techniques! Drop in for a painting session, or register for a scheduled workshop or class. Spend time with the ones you love, or take yourself out for a self-care date! Our friendly staff will be there to welcome you and get you started on your next artful endeavor.

Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned artist, we're here to help you create something beautiful at your own pace. No reservations are needed—just walk in whenever inspiration strikes, and our friendly staff will be ready to assist you. Grab a piece of pottery, pick out your glazes from our huge selection, and let your creativity flow. Come in today and make something uniquely yours!
Now Booking Private Parties
Small group pottery painting parties happen in our private space inside The Curious Kiln: The Revelry Room! Here, you'll have access to your own mini-fridge, countertop ice maker, high-quality Bluetooth speaker to play your favorite tunes, and don't forget: the artistic atmosphere! Our space will be so inviting, you won't even need to bring party decor; unless - of course - you want to! The Revelry Room is great for smaller groups, and can seat 8 adults at tables for comfortable painting. For children - 10 painting participants can be seated comfortably. "Revelry Room" Reservations are charged a $75 non-refundable fee for private use of the space for a 2-hour window. At checkout, $25 can be applied to your bill to cover balances. Studio fees + pottery piece choices will be paid on the date of the event based on participation. For groups of more than 8 adults, or children's events geared towards attendees under the age of 8 (where parents might be inclined to stay for the duration), we do require groups to book a McHarper Manor private party with pottery programming in our larger workshop space. With any party reservation, you are welcome to bring your own food, drinks, treats, and favors! We have no restrictions on food, and encourage you to celebrate and feed your guests based on your specific needs and preferences. Need help planning food, or advice on how to prepare? We've hosted hundreds of parties and we're happy to give you our best suggestions, from which pizza place delivers square pieces for kids, to who should cater your shower! **For parties with 9 or more guests (any age) we highly suggest booking a full-service birthday party experience in the McHarper Classroom / Workshop space. The creative party packages offered in our larger space come complete with a dedicated party host / paint attendant - where you can choose pottery painting as your activity, or choose from a menu of other creative activities. We, and our team here at The Curious Kiln + McHarper Manor, can’t wait to meet you! You'll love spending time in our warm and inviting paint + pottery studio, and classroom space - conveniently located in Miami Township (Milford), less than a mile from I-275 As huge lovers of art and nature, few things appeal to us more than clays, natural pigments, paints, glazes and inks! Tabitha grew up in ceramics studio environments most of her life, and Tom has always been eager to dive into anything clay or glaze related! We're excited to offer any-time “paint your own pottery” (traditional glazed and fired - or same day process) as well as “take-and-make” kits for any occasion. Choose from our stocked shelves of designer dishes, home decor, figurines, wood signs, pre-etched canvas, and fun seasonal favorites - then get to glazing! Spend time with the ones you love, or take yourself out for a self-care date! Whether you choose to drop in for our anytime pottery painting, or enroll in a class to build your clay or skills - our friendly staff will be there to welcome you and get you started on your next artful endeavor.
