Clay Dates are one-night events where you will create something amazing with your hands and mud! Sign up solo, or bring a friend! No "date" required!
Mollie, a lifetime potter and pottery instructor, is eager to teach you handbuilding skills and techniques while guiding you through the creation of your own spooky "gingerbread style" house! The best part: these pieces are made with clay, so they will last forever! Join us for this single-session class, where you'll have the opportunity to pick your favorite textures and elements to make it your very own.
The hand-building portion will be completed during class, then kiln fired and ready to pick up in about 2 weeks. At pick up, you have the option to receive a paint kit to complete your piece at home in your leisure, or you can choose to finish your piece with paint or glaze in our full service pottery studio. Either option is included in the price of registration.
Skills learned:
*Hand building with clay (forming structures from slabs of clay)
*Manual dexterity (using cutters, templates, and molding tools on a small scale)
*Slipping and Scoring for craftsmanship.
This class is open to all skill levels and no experience is required. *Appropriate for ages 12+ (Children aged 6-11 are welcome to attend with an adult helper.) No ticket required for adult helper - as they will be assiting, not creating their own piece. If a parent-created piece is desired, please register for two (or more) seats accordingly.
This class includes all materials and professional instruction. No art experience is necessary.

We reserve the right to cancel events and classes due to low enrollment, staff sickness, extreme weather, or other conditions beyond our control. Registrants will be notified via email 24 hours prior to class if an event is cancelled for low registration, and every attempt will be made to contact participants as soon as possible in the event of emergency cancellation.
